Sports Trivia

In this particular sports trivia quiz, I will give you 3 clues. From those 3 clues, you need to name the athlete or team or sports figure I’m referring to. And the sports figure I’m referencing is a big-time record holder in their sport.  It’s a fun sports trivia game you’re sure to love.  It starts with sprinting and goes through boxing, football, baseball, and soccer–or futbol.  Sorry, no cricket or darts in this one.  These sports trivia questions will challenge you, for sure. Have fun!

This is a very unique way to quiz you on sports information.  I came up with this sports trivia quiz idea a long time ago when I created a 3 clues 80’s movie quiz (pop over here for an 80’s music quiz you’re going to love).  It was extremely popular.  This one, though, is all about sports record holders.  Doing so should make this quiz more accessible to those of you who aren’t true sports fanatics.

Some of the sports I cover in this quiz

First off, I touch on the “big 4” as they call it. In the USA, these consist of the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, and Major League Baseball.  Typically referenced as the NBA, NFL, NHL, and MLB respectively.  These different sports leagues are really the bread and butter of American sports.  Professional football is the most popular, followed by baseball, basketball, and finally hockey.  Hockey, of course, is much more popular to the north of us in the great country of Canada, inventors of the sport.  The other three were all invented here in the US.

The two biggest sports are soccer (number one) and cricket.  I have no idea how cricket works, but soccer is pretty straight forward.  There’s a NASCAR question along with a boxing, tennis, and horse racing question.  These all delve only into the tip of the iceberg, or the upper-echelon of each sport.
