Not your typical trivia night. For us, it’s not all about the questions, it’s about interaction and getting the patrons involved. They won’t be sitting around the entire time. OC Trivia Hosts engage and connect and have as much fun-if not more-than the customers.
The OC Trivia LIVE! Difference
• ALL GAMES ARE PLAYED ON YOUR TV’S!
You’ve seen it. The host asks a questions, no one is listening, everyone yells at the host to repeat it, the host does, more people miss it…UGH!!! That will happen NO MORE if you’re with OC Trivia. ALL of our games are Powerpoint presentations so when the host says, “Okay, folks, here’s question number 5! What kind of cheese doesn’t belong to you?” He doesn’t have to repeat himself because the questions are on the SCREENS! Everyone reads it themselves…the host just lets them know it’s there. Why is this CRITICAL to the fun and success of the game? Because the hosts asks the question once, shuts up and plays fun, upbeat music while the teams think of their answers! This is the ONLY way to have a Live Team Trivia Night at your venue.
• Intermission games, contests, and challenges.
As an option, you could add some FUN in between rounds! It starts with a couple of rounds of trivia, then BAM! First person to bring up an out of state driver license gets 20 extra points! Later, we get one person from each team to volunteer and they battle it out in a live game of Categories! OC Trivia takes advantage of any dead air and fills it up with much fun and frolic.
• Real interaction from OC Trivia hosts.
This is where we separate ourselves from all the other trivia…yawn…hosts. We talk on the mic to your customers, get to know them, make them part of the show. It’s not about “us,” it’s about them!

The Gutty-Works
Now, here’s some more information, in case you’re wondering…
What The Venue Supplies:
• A way to display table fliers and/or promotions posters.
• Inform staff to “talk it up” with regulars and any other patrons whenever possible.
• A supply of prizes for each week! One prize is good, two is better, a first, second, and third place prize is BEST. For example:
- 3rd Place Team: Pitcher of beer for the table.
- 2nd Place Team: Pitcher of beer plus 2 appetizers.
- 1st Place Team: $50 gift certificate to the venue.
• Host needs to set up in the main room or bar area, not in a side room.
• Host needs to be able to plug an HDMI cable into one or two TV’s depending on the size of the room, the screens, etc.
• Host needs unlimited access to water (he/she talks a lot!).
• Support for the host if customers are unruly.
• Payment due at the end of each performance night.
That’s it! OC Trivia will supply everything else needed, including a sound system and microphone, pens, answer sheets, and anything else needed to make sure the night goes smoothly.
